Spider-Man: Homecoming will be the wall crawlers first solo outing in the Marvel Cinematic Universe and will introduce a number of brand new characters to the shared world. Returning to provide the score for the latest Spidey film will be composer Michael Giacchino, who previously wrote the score for Marvel’s Doctor Strange. Now, with a little less than three months before the film hits theaters, Giacchino has announced that work has begun on recording the score for the wall crawlers next adventure.
Giacchino made the announcement on his official Twitter account along with a video from a drum session.

A young Peter Parker/Spider-Man (Tom Holland), who made his sensational debut in Captain America: Civil War, begins to navigate his newfound identity as the web-slinging super hero in Spider-Man: Homecoming. Thrilled by his experience with the Avengers, Peter returns home, where he lives with his Aunt May (Marisa Tomei), under the watchful eye of his new mentor Tony Stark (Robert Downey, Jr.). Peter tries to fall back into his normal daily routine – distracted by thoughts of proving himself to be more than just your friendly neighborhood Spider-Man – but when the Vulture (Michael Keaton) emerges as a new villain, everything that Peter holds most important will be threatened.
Directed by Jon Watts, the film stars Tom Holland, Michael Keaton, Zendaya, Donald Glover, Jacob Batalon, Laura Harrier, Tony Revolori, Tyne Daly, Bokeem Woodbine, Michael Chernus, Kenneth Choi, Hannibal Buress, Martin Starr, Michael Barbieri, Angourie Rice, Abraham Attah, Marisa Tomei and Robert Downey Jr.
Spider-Man: Homecoming will be released in theaters on July 7, 2017.
