‘Spider-Man: Homecoming’ Sequel Gets 2019 Release Date

spider-man-59After the big release of last night’s trailer, Spider-Man: Homecoming is already getting a sequel, as it was announced that it will be coming out on Friday, July 5, 2019.

If you haven’t seen it already, check out the new trailer below.

“A young Peter Parker/Spider-Man (Tom Holland), who made his sensational debut in Captain America: Civil War, begins to navigate his newfound identity as the web-slinging super hero in Spider-Man: Homecoming. Thrilled by his experience with the Avengers, Peter returns home, where he lives with his Aunt May (Marisa Tomei), under the watchful eye of his new mentor Tony Stark (Robert Downey, Jr.). Peter tries to fall back into his normal daily routine – distracted by thoughts of proving himself to be more than just your friendly neighborhood Spider-Man – but when the Vulture (Michael Keaton) emerges as a new villain, everything that Peter holds most important will be threatened.”

The cast includes Tom Holland, Michael Keaton, Zendaya, Donald Glover, Jacob Batalon, Laura Harrier, Tony Revolori, Tyne Daly and Bokeem Woodbine, as well as Robert Downey Jr., Marisa Tomei, Jon Favreau, Michael Chernus, Kenneth Choi, Hannibal Buress, Martin Starr, Michael Barbieri, Angourie Rice and Abraham Attah.

Spider-Man: Homecoming opens on July 7, 2017.

Your first sentence says 2019 and the last sentence says 2017. Which is it? lol

    • Chris W

The sequel is 2019, the first one is 2017.

      • Jason Scarpelli

lol yeah I just re-read it

  • SAMURAI36

Wow, they are just churning out garbage like on a conveyor belt now. That trailer was horrible.

    • Worldmind

Well, it’s Hollywood conveyor belt business really isn’t it? Nothing new about that, but I disagree with the garbage bit, the new trailer is pretty sweet! Also, if they follow a similar time-frame they won’t have to start filming until summer 2018, a whole year after the first film’s release.

In other news: Zack Snyder starts filming Justice League just two weeks after B.V.MESS. Wow, talk about a conveyor belt of excrement, folks! 😀

      • SAMURAI36

BVMESS; that’s actually funny. Original too. Too bad it’s a p!ss-poor comparison.

JL was already announced as a film, along with the first 10 films of the DCEU. So that’s not the same thing. Plus, they started filming JL AFTER the release of BVS, as you stated.

Here, Spiderman isn’t even due out for another 7 months, and they are already announcing a sequel. Eggs and eggplants.

Good for you, if you like the trailer. All’s I saw, was Spiderman featuring Ironman? Vulture, aka Firefly? Corny high school hijinks? Bank robbers with silly Avengers masks on? Is that supposed to be a meta statement?

This just looks like a rehash of all the Spiderman stuff that’s come before. Even the bridge scene, where Spidey’s holding it together with his webs, was a complete rehash, from the previous 2 Spidey sagas.

But hey, it’s Marvel, so that means it’s gonna be ground breaking, right?

So, because they announced that they were gonna push conveyor belt trash, then it’s fine, right?

          Right?

Of course that’s all you saw…You’re a bitter fanboy.

          • Napi

OMG this idiot just can’t stop, eh? hahahaha

          • Axxell

The idiot who can’t debate logically so he has to call other people idiots to make himself feel better about his inadequacy? Yeah…

          • Napi

Yees! That’s exactly what I’m talking about! I’m glad you agree with me that you, Allexxa, just can’t debate logically xDxD Get lost loser

          • Axxell

And once again confirms he has reading comprehension issues…Congrats!

          • Napi

Well well, look at this, Fantastic Beasts destroyed Doctor Stinks (Strange)

          • Axxell

How pathetic that DCCU fanboys have to look outside of DC films for a hit…SMH…

          • Napi

Nah nah, you Marvel f@ggots always talk about DC/WB as the same thing… so now eat your words b¡tch just the same way you are used to swallow my d¡ck :)

          • Axxell

Oh that’s your excuse? LOL! Sorry Fantastic B¡tch, but nobody’s ever said WB and DC are the same thing; it’s just your mental retardation at work. That’s why you also fantasize abut having your pecker sücked by a dude, you queer…

          • Napi

Hahahaha man… I LOVE how much that burned you xDxDxD
I told ya, FB > DS… it smells like BBQ, eh? HAHAHAHAHAH

          • Axxell

As if I’m the one crying about the fact the DCCU is getting stomped so badly, you have to brag about another franchise that can’t hold a candle to the MCU…. LOL!

          • Napi

Do not make me reasearch some of your comments where you get all hörny about comparing Fantastic Beasts and Doctor Strange… thats your job, my little dog ;*

          • Axxell

Go ahead…I know where to find yours…

          • Napi

OMG!!! I forgot you are such a low life that keeps answering every comment xDxD

          • Axxell

            Oh, the irony…

      • Napi

Wooow! Someone just can’t deal with the burn!

  • Worldmind

It makes sense. If they want a trilogy of Peter Parker’s school years, best to announce the second film, and start filming, sooner rather than later

  • unpaidpundit

I hope that the next Spider-Man film does well. However, the visuals and dialogue of the Spider-man trailer are not as appealing as those of the Wonder Woman or Guardians 2 trailers. The Spider-Man trailer also seems to imply a very Kumbaya vision of race relations in America. I suspect that the movie’s screenwriters are suburban white liberals who have no idea of what life is like for America’s urban working class.

    • G-Man

Being someone from NYC, that is exactly what schools look like.

And being a huge Spider-Man fan, this looked pretty perfect to me.

      • unpaidpundit

I’m not from NYC, but I do read the New York Times, and the Times says that NYC schools are highly segregated.

        • Axxell

You’re taking a small sample of a movie, one news article and making a blanket determination that A) the depiction of schools in the movie isn’t realistic, because B) a news article told you all the schools in NY are segregated.

        • G-Man

I highly disagree. Maybe private schools? But Peter’s in a public school and they’re extremely diverse. My high school was 70% asian.
