‘Spider-Man: Far From Home’ Trailer Confirms The Marvel Multiverse

Spider-Man Far From Home Marvel Multiverse Tom Holland

The new trailer for Spider-Man: Far From Home introduced the concept of the Marvel Multiverse.

Spider-Man: Far From Home will introduce Jake Gyllenhaal’s Mysterio to the MCU, but the new trailer for the film indicates this version of the classic Marvel villain will have a different origin than his comic book counterpart. When Nick Fury recruits Spider-Man during European vacation and introduces the wall-crawler to Quentin Beck/Mysterio, the newcomer tells our young hero that they could use someone like him on his world. Spider-Man is notably confused by this comment, prompting Nick Fury to explain that Quentin Beck is from an alternate Earth, explaining “the snap tore a hole in our dimension.” A stunned Spider-Man then replies, “you’re saying there’s a multiverse?”

Marvel Studios’ Avengers: Endgame followed our heroes as they traveled back in time to collect the Infinity Stones and use them to reverse Thanos’ decimation. Fans had theorized that their exploits created alternate universes that branched off from the point where they took a given Infinity Stone and it appears Spider-Man: Far From Home may explore that concept further.

How do you think the confirmation of a Marvel Multiverse will change the MCU moving forward? Would you like to see new stories told in different corners of the Marvel Multiverse instead of just the main MCU? Let us know below!
