New Spoilers On ‘Arrow’, ‘Black Lightning, ‘Westworld’ & More Revealed

Arrow Black Lightning Westworld
With several of our favorite shows currently on summer hiatus or awaiting their television debut, fans are eager to learn any bit of information on the upcoming season of television. Now, Entertainment Weekly has learned new details on Arrow, Westworld, Riverdale, Black Lightning, and Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. through interviews with the respective executive producers of each series.

While executive producer Wendy Mericle would not confirm if Cayden James and Helix would be the antagonists of Arrow season six, she did assure fans that next years villain will be unlike any before:

“As usual, every season we want to try to up the stakes and do something different. This will be something we’ve never seen before. The villain will be hopefully as dynamic and as interesting as the ones we’ve had in the past. These people, or this person, won’t just be somebody that’s a thorn in Oliver’s side, but it’ll effect the whole team personally and very directly.”

Westworld executive producer Jonah Nolan discussed the current whereabouts of Peter Abernathy:

“I don’t think Abernathy got on that train; I don’t think any host got on that train — or any host that we’re aware of. When you see Lee head down to cold storage, he’s going there to retrieve Abernathy, and Abernathy is gone, so leave it up to your imagination.”

Riverdale executive producer Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa confirmed that the shooting of Fred Andrews was no accident:

“That line from Jughead’s V.O. absolutely alludes to the criminal element that we’re doing next season. I will say that, hopefully, it’s the exact opposite of what you’re thinking.”

Black Lightning executive producer Salim Akil discussed how Jefferson will react to his daughters having superhuman abilities:

“It’s hard for any parent to see their children grow out of the nest. That’s how Jefferson will react to seeing his daughters get their powers. In a way, he’ll be a little fearful, because he understands what having powers is and what it means. The same way when parents see their children go off into the world without them, they’re a little fearful because they understand what the world has in store for them. But you can’t stop that. You have to let them grow.”

Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. executive producer Jeff Bell shot down the idea that Yo-Yo Rodriguez and Mack will be having kids after she nearly sacrificed herself for him and his framework daughter:

“That’s overstating it. It’s them saying, ‘Look, I think what we both learned is we could have a future together.’”
