Stan Lee Thanks Ryan Reynolds For Being Included In Online ‘Deadpool’ Short

Deadpool Face Closeup Stan LeeFans who saw Logan this weekend were treated to a special Deadpool short before the film, and that short was then released online for everyone to enjoy. A few differences exist between the two versions however, as while Stan Lee was cut from the theatrical run, he remains in the online version.

Stan Lee took to Twitter to personally thank Reynolds for saving Lee from obscurity by keeping him in the online version.

Stan Lee is certainly nowhere near obscurity, but perhaps after already feeling left out of an appearance in Logan, he wished for some theatrical presence. The majority of FOX’s Marvel films don’t include Lee however, with the originals and Deadpool serving as an exception.

Logan is now breaking box office records to achieve an $85 million opening weekend, equal to that of X-Men Origins: Wolverine which was only rated PG-13.

In the near future, a weary Logan cares for an ailing Professor X in a hide out on the Mexican border. But Logan’s attempts to hide from the world and his legacy are up-ended when a young mutant arrives, being pursued by dark forces.

Logan stars Hugh Jackman, Sir Patrick Stewart, Dafne Keen, Stephen Merchant, Richard E. Grant, Eriq LaSalle, Elizabeth Rodriguez, and Boyd Holbrook. And is currently in theaters.
