Star Trek: Discovery will make its maiden voyage to the cover of Entertainment Weekly, which goes on sale Friday. There are two additional variant covers of the magazine for collectors.
The newest iteration of the Star Trek franchise will be the subject of an Entertainment Weekly cover story, an excerpt of which can be read on their website. The excerpt given explicitly mentions that the word “God” isn’t used in the show at all, which led to a bit of a problem when Jason Isaacs used it during a take in an action scene.
Star Trek: Discovery will follow the voyages of Starfleet on their missions to discover new worlds and new life forms, and one Starfleet officer who must learn that to truly understand all things alien, you must first understand yourself.
Star Trek: Discovery will get a two-part premiere on CBS on September 24, 2017, while all other episodes will be released through CBS All Access over subsequent weeks, concluding in early 2018. The show’s cast includes Sonequa Martin-Green, Terry Serpico, Maulik Pancholy, Sam Vartholomeos, James Frain, Doug Jones, Michelle Yeoh, Anthony Rapp, Chris Obi, Shazad Latif, Mary Chieffo, Jason Isaacs, Mary Wiseman, Rainn Wilson, Kenneth Mitchell, Rekha Sharma, Damon Runyan, Clare McConnell, and Wilson Cruz.
