TrekMovie.com reports that actress Mia Kirshner has been cast as Amanda Grayson in Star Trek: Discovery.
Amanda Grayson is the human wife of Sarek and the mother of Spock. In the original series, Amanda was played by Jane Wyatt in the episode “Journey to Babel” and the film Star Trek IV: The Voyage Home. Amanda was also played by Winona Ryder in J.J. Abrams’ 2009 reboot of the franchise.
Kirshner’s credits include 24, The L Word, The Vampire Diaries and Defiance.
