Star Wars Battlefront II will be getting a tie-in novel from Christie Golden called Inferno Squad, detailing the origin of Iden Versio, the protagonist of the game’s campaign mode. It’s just been revealed that Versio’s actress, Janina Gavankar, will record the Inferno Squad audiobook.
German Star Wars fan site Jedi-Bibliothek recently uncovered the fact that Gavankar would be narrating the audiobook, which will be released exclusively through Amazon as a digital download. Shortly after, word of this spread on the Star Wars Twittersphere and even reached Gavankar herself, who officially confirmed her commitment to the audiobook:

This is actually not the first time a Star Wars actress has reprised her role to record an audiobook for an audiobook, as Ahsoka Tano voice actress Ashley Eckstein (Star Wars: The Clone Wars, Star Wars Rebels) handled the narration of E. K. Johnson’s Ahsoka novel.
Star Wars Battlefront II: Inferno Squad serves as a prequel to the events of the game and a sequel to both Rogue One and A New Hope. Following the Empire’s humiliating defeat at Yavin IV, the tyrannical regime is ready to strike back against one of the forces that were part of the chain of events that led to the Death Star’s destruction – the Partisans. Even though the extremist rebel cell recently lost their leader – Saw Gerrera – when the Death Star fired a test shot on Jedha, the group still proves to be as dangerous as ever. The Inferno Squad, made up of the Empire’s most loyal and skilled soldiers and pilots, is assembled with the intent of eradicating these rebel terrorists once and for all – by any means necessary.
Star Wars Battlefront II: Inferno Squad hits the shelves on July 25, 2017, while the actual Battlefront II game will be released on November 17.
8 ‘Star Wars’ Spin-Off Movies We Really Want To See
May the 4th be with you, everyone! Even on May the 8th! With Star Wars weekend in the rear-view mirror, it’s still a great time to kick back, get out your old glow-in-the-dark lightsaber toys and Darth Vader Halloween masks, and pop in those original trilogy DVDs. Maybe even all 8 currently-released films, if you’re up for the challenge (both mental and otherwise). Speaking of which, Rogue One: A Star Wars Story just came out on Blu-ray, marking the first home release of many Star Wars spin-off movies to come.
Of these, only one future title has been confirmed – Han Solo: A Star Wars Story, to be released in May of 2018. Beyond that, we know Disney had at least two more planned, and probably more down the line. And why not? The Star Wars universe is so ripe for exploration. There are so many characters we were introduced to in the Saga movies that could easily get their own film. And it doesn’t stop there. The legacy of the Jedi and the Sith go back thousands of years, opening up virtually endless possibilities of story material.
Given this abundance of material just waiting to be tapped into, Heroic Hollywood decided to celebrate the Star Wars holiday by compiling a list of the Star Wars stand-alone movies we’d most like to see. While some of the films on this list are more likely to be developed than others, they each share one unifying factor: they’d all be freakin’ awesome!
