‘Star Wars’: Marvel’s ‘Captain Phasma’ To Bridge ‘Force Awakens’ & ‘Last Jedi’

Star Wars Marvel PhasmaThe Journey to Star Wars: The Last Jedi officially began this weekend at Star Wars Celebration Orlando.

Marvel revealed Captain Phasma, a new four-part issue chronicling the First Order Captain’s escape from Starkiller Base. The series was created by writer Kelly Thompson (Star Wars Annual) with artist Marco Checchetto (Shattered Empire) featuring cover art for the first issue from Paul Renaud (X-Force)

Captain Phasma is set to launch this September.

In addition to Captain Phasma, several other major announcements related to the journey to The Last Jedi were made during Celebration Orlando including the reveals of Phasma, an adult novel from Delilah S. Dawson, the young adult novel Leia: Princess of Alderaan from Lost Stars and Bloodline author Claudia Gray as well as the young reader novel The Legend of Luke Skywalker written by Ken Liu.

Plot details for the novels are still unavailable however they will include teases and easter eggs for the new saga film as they are a part of Lucasfilm’s Journey to Star Wars: The Last Jedi program.
