New Image of Kylo Ren From ‘Star Wars: The Force Awakens’

Following previous exclusive reveals from The Force Awakens, Empire Online has revealed a new image of the villainous Kylo Ren with two First Order Stormtroopers.  Though nothing has been specifically stated from the image, it’s assumed that the image is from the desert planet of Jakku, which appears to be the central new planet in The Force Awakens.

Speaking to Empire, Driver discussed the role, and how Kylo Ren differs from other villains.

When they think of their actions as morally justified, it makes them dangerous and unpredictable. There’s no level they won’t go to to accomplish what they’re after. I never thought of the character as an evil person.

The character of Kylo Ren has been completely shrouded in mystery, and Internet theories have dissected the character’s origin and identity to death. Though J.J. Abrams has stated that the character is not a Sith, the mystery box marketing schedule has given little clues to this character. Regardless, the image is certainly striking and gives us a better look at the iconic costume, something that will surely be instantly popular amongst fans.

Empire is continuing to provide teasers from their upcoming Star Wars-themed issue, which is set to hit shelves on November 26th. Star Wars: Episode VII- The Force Awakens is released in the U.K. on December 17th, and in the U.S. on December 18th.
