‘Stranger Things’ Kids Score Huge Pay Bump For ‘Season 3’

Stranger Things 2The young cast of Netflix’s Stranger Things are getting a significant raise to star in the series’ third season which goes into production in a little over a month.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, the cast has been divided up into three separate tiers, with Winona Ryder and David Harbour making up to $350,000 per episode. While the adult leads started out at a higher pay level and will there, it’s the younger stars who are seeing a dramatic increase in salary. For the first two seasons, the kids were reportedly paid $30,000 per episode, however, the third season will reportedly see Finn Wolfhard, Gaten Matarazzo, Caleb McLaughlin, and Noah Schnapp bank $250,000 per episode.

The third tier consists of the actors that make up the show’s teen character’s — Natalia Dyer, Charlie Heaton, and Joe Keery — who are each earning around $150,000 per episode.

Standing out on her own is the show’s fastest rising star — Millie Bobby Brown — earning somewhere between $250,000 and $350,000 per episode for the next season.

Official plot details are still under wraps, however, the eight-episode third season will likely feature another time jump when the adventure continues, picking up with its young characters attending high school. The next season is set to give Will Byers (Schnapp) a bit of a break as it deals with new forces of evil.

In addition to the returning cast, the series has also added Maya Thurman-Hawke as a new lead along with Priah Ferguson who was introduced in Stranger Things 2 as Erica Sinclair — the younger sister of Lucas (Mclaughlin). She returns to recur throughout the entire third season.
