‘Stranger Things’ Gets A ‘Stand By Me’ Inspired Poster

Stranger Things Stand By MeNetflix has released a new poster for the first season of Stranger Things inspired by one of the series’ biggest influences, Rob Reiner’s Stand by Me based on the Stephen King novel The Body.

Not only did were the young characters created by The Duffer Brothers inspired by the four friends in Stand by Me, the brothers actually used the Stand by Me script when casting the roles of Mike, Dustin, Lucas, and Will due to not having much material written beyond the pilot during the casting process. In addition, the brothers also titled the fourth episode of the series “The Body” after the title of the original King novel.

You can check out the poster below.

The concept of BP being a king and a superhero at the same time was always kind of illogical to me, but when you think about him as the head of a stratocracy, it makes much more sense.

Wait, WTF? Since when has good & evil been clearly defined anywhere in Marvel films??? That sounds completely bogus.
Also, since when has BP been an “important character” in Marvel?
I swear, it’s like the Trumpisms have already kicked in with Marvel.
