‘Suicide Squad’ Soundtrack Heading For Number One Debut On Billboard 200

Suicide Squad Soundtrack Header

Not only is Suicide Squad turning out to be a win for Warner Bros. at the box office, the film’s soundtrack is also looking to be a success for the studio as it heads towards the number one spot on the Billboard 200 albums chart. Billboard.com is reporting that the film’s soundtrack, which features such names as Mark Ronson, Skrillex, Lil Wayne, Imagine Dragons, Rick Ross, Grimes and twenty one pilots, will sell upward of 130,000 to 140,000 equivalent album units by the end of the week. The album has already had three singles that landed on the Hot 100 and could be the first theatrical soundtrack to hit the top spot on Billboard 200 since Pitch Perfect 2, which debuted in the top slot on the May 30, 2015 chart. Not bad for the worst heroes ever, eh?

“SUCKER FOR PAIN” is a nice wholesome rap/sing-a-long the whole family can bond over. Congrats to dceu…even though they haven’t figured out how to put together a decent movie, but they can put together a soundtrack worth buyin!

I liked that Spirit in the Sky song they had in the movie. Feel like I’ve heard it before…like in a comic book movie featuring a team of people with questionable morals…nah, I’m probably imagining it

      • flavortang

Probably imagining a lot of things with all the weed you smoke.

        • SAMURAI36

          LMAO.

        • Jake Bucsko

Also imagined WB claiming their universe was filmmaker driven *inhales*

          • SAMURAI36

It is. You really need to stop smoking those lawn clippings.

          • Marquis de Sade

Yeah, too bad they ain’t script writer driven. LOL!

      • SAMURAI36

Yeah, cuz none of those songs EVER were in anything else before.

        • Jake Bucsko

They weren’t in a comic book movie that had a famous soundtrack 2 years prior. Unless I imagined that too…

It doesn’t matter anyway. The uninspired soundtrack isn’t one of the 10 worst things about SS.

          • SAMURAI36

Ah, so you’re just hating now. Got it.

          • Jake Bucsko

Terrible movie was terrible. Idk what you want from me.

          • SAMURAI36

Oh, I dunno….. To talk some sense, maybe? But I love the bias though. Feel free to keep that up.

          • Jake Bucsko

Pretty easy to be biased against movies I hate.

          • SAMURAI36

Good for you. Run along now.

          • SAMURAI36

Pretty easy to hate movies I’m biased against.

            Fixed that for you.

          • Jake Bucsko

Totally biased against DC. I grew up with Batman: TAS and Justice League/JLU is my favorite show ever and Superman is my favorite fictional character and the Flash is my favorite show right now and the Chris Nolan Batman series is the best set of comic book movies ever made and I’ll readily defend Superman 3 and Returns but BvS and Suicide Squad sucked so I’m biased. Definitely. You see right through me.

          • SAMURAI36

So what? I grew up with the X-Men animated series from the 90’s. I also liked Spidey and his Amazing Friends. I liked the Hulk TV show from the 80’s. I liked the Blade movies, and even the second set of Spidey Movies, along with the Hulk.

But guess what? I still hate Marvel. So there’s that.

          • Fenix

You really have terrible taste, Sammy boy. Prior to the DCEU your favorite movie was Battleship.

          • Fenix

It’s not bias, it’s just another hackneyed rush job of a movie from WB/DC.

      • Marquis de Sade

Well y’know what they say, “IF YOU CAN’T BEAT THEM, COPY THEM”. dceu gotta take their small victories when the opportunities arises.

      • Kelly

You might be thinking of Watchmen.

  • xxjinzaxx

Not bad at all, indeed. I have to say, I never thought I’d see the day where my purchase would lead to me owning an Eminem song. Never say never (that’s a great song too, btw).

  • SAMURAI36

Wow, the Squad is breaking all sorts of records. Good stuff.

  • jollybrah

The soundtrack is awesome, absolutely love it. Favourite song on it would have to be Gangsta.

    • SAMURAI36

Heathens and Sucker For Pain are mine. But I like the BeeGee’s remix as well.

Geez, there’s just so many to like!!
