One of the most highly anticipated events for both The Flash and Supergirl this season is the upcoming musical crossover and today new exciting details have come out. Entertainment Weekly reported today that the musical crossover will be airing on Monday, March 20 starting on Kara’s show and then continue on the next night, Tuesday, March 21. But who will be joining Melissa Benoist and Grant Gustin for this event?
EW revealed that Flash’s Joe West (Jesse L. Martin), Cisco Ramon (Carlos Valdes) along with Legends of Tomorrow’s Martin Stein (Victor Garber) and Arrow’s Malcolm Merlyn (John Barrowman) will be joining Winn Schott (Jeremy Jordan) for the singing appearances. Martian Manhunter (David Harewood) and Mon-El (Chris Wood) will be appearing too, but not participating in the singing. The heroic duo will be taking on the villainous Music Meister who has yet to be cast.
Dermott Downs, who has directed several DC TV episodes, will be directing the Flash portion of the musical crossover which is called “Duet”. The two-parter will follow a similar structure to the 4-show crossover where it starts at the end of the Supergirl episode before it carries over to the Scarlet Speedster’s show the next night.
Supergirl returns on Monday, January 23 with The Flash returning on Tuesday, January 24, at 8/7c on The CW respectively.
