’Supergirl’ Adds ’Glee’ Star Blake Jenner

Greg Berlanti sure does love recruiting talent from FOX’s Glee as TV Line broke the news that Melissa Benoist’s real life husband Blake Jenner has joined Supergirl in a recurring role. Jenner will be playing the character of Adam Foster and will be first seen on the show in early 2016.

According to Warner Bros. TV, Foster is a handsome stranger that has a past with Calista Flockhart’s Cat Grant and his presence in National City will supposedly put Cat and Kara’s relationship to a big test. Adam is also going to be forming an “unexpected connection” with Kara as he is a potential love interest.

On Glee, Jenner played Ryder Lynn who joined the show in the 4th season as a new member of the New Directions and became a love interest of Marley Rose (Benoist’s character). This is the 4th actor from the Glee universe to join Berlanti’s DC TV shows with Benoist as the Girl of Steel, Grant Gustin as The Flash and Charlotte Ross who plays Mama Donna Smoak, mother of Felicity Smoak on Arrow.

The other Glee connection that Supergirl has is none other than executive producer and show-runner Ali Adler who worked on the show as a co-executive producer and writer in the third season.
