‘Supergirl’ Casts ‘iZombie’ Star Rahul Kohli As DC Comics’ Biomax

Supergirl iZombieWhile not a full-out crossover, Supergirl and iZombie are going to cross the streams a little bit, as Rahul Kohli, who plays Dr. Ravi Chakrabarti on the Vertigo series, will be guesting in an episode of the Girl of Steel’s second season. Kohli has been tapped to bring Jack Spheer a.k.a. DC Comics’ Biomax to life in episode 18 “Ace Reporter” and this is how Entertainment Weekly is describing his role.

“Jack Spheer, a charismatic tech genius who has spent decades working on a medical innovation that will eradicate major illnesses and change the face of the world – if it works. Jack comes to National City to demonstrate his technology to members of the press, including Kara Danvers (Melissa Benoist) and Snapper Carr (Ian Gomez). His arrival stirs up front page news as well as feelings in his old flame Lena Luthor (Katie McGrath).”

In a statement to Entertainment Weekly, Kohli expressed his excitement to join one of the CW DC shows

“I’m so excited to be working on Supergirl starring as Jack Spheer. It’s given me the chance to continue my relationship with The CW as well as fulfill my goal of meeting a Kryptonian.”

SNAPPER CARR INTERVIEWS SUPERGIRL – As Alex (Chyler Leigh) searches for Jeremiah (guest star Dean Cain) and Kara (Melissa Benoist) investigates a series of alien kidnappings, the sisters realize they must break the rules to foil a new Cadmus plot. In an effort to get Snapper Carr (guest star Ian Gomez) to run a story that would help her stop Cadmus, Kara agrees to set up an interview between Snapper and Supergirl. Michael Allowitz directed the episode written by Paula Yoo & Eric Carrasco (#215). Original airdate 3/6/2017.”
