Animation is a tool that can bring any drawable creation to life in vibrant ways without the limitations of a budget or having to find a way to pull something off in real life. Animation can be as far out and unhinged as it wants to be.

The art of the comic book is very similar to that of animation. Comics often show heroes doing things that could never happen in the real world. As much as live action can capture a lot of these moments, animation allows for much more freedom. Animated superhero shows have been popular for quite some time now, and some have even received critical acclaim for their depiction of comic book characters and honoring the source material.
