Superman DC Comics Metropolis

DC Comics recently had a private writers’ summit and Brian Michael Bendis took to the company’s official Instagram to give fans some behind-the-scenes looks at what transpired at the summit.

One of Bendis’ posts shows the Man of Steel alongside Zod in a way they are not generally portrayed: as allies. Bendis’ post reads as follows.

“The Cover to Superman number five by @ivanreisart @joeprado2017 this is chapter 5 in the year-long United Saga #zod #manofsteel #actioncomics #superman #bendisdcinstatakeover”

Beyond Zod the post also relays to fans the name of the saga: “United.” The title is perhaps telling of some uncommon team-ups for Superman. Thus far we know Bendis’ Superman run will feature Clark Kent facing off against the Nuclear Man and saving Krypton from the Phantom Zone. Check out the post below.

What could have transpired for Superman and Zod to be working together? Tell us what you think in the comments below!
