Superman Actor Henry Cavill Replaces Hugh Jackman As Wolverine In Awesome Fan Art

Henry Cavill Hugh Jackman Superman Wolverine MCU

Superman actor Henry Cavill replaces Hugh Jackman as Wolverine for the Marvel Cinematic Universe in an awesome new concept.

Currently, no one knows when Justice League star Henry Cavill will return as Superman despite the actor being adamant that the role is still his. With Warner Bros. and DC reshuffling their slate of films and characters to focus on, it doesn’t appear that Cavill will reprise his role as Superman anytime soon. We can imagine that it’s hard for the actor to go about his days knowing that he won’t be able to scratch the superhero itch that Superman provided for him, which is why he’d be a perfect fit for the role of Wolverine now that Hugh Jackman is done playing the character.

Hugh Jackman bowed away from the role of Wolverine with the X-Men spin-off Logan, ending his near two-decade tenure as the mutant with grace. Now that Disney owns Fox and is expected to integrate the X-Men characters into the MCU, it’s hard not to imagine they’ll be bringing Wolverine back to the big screen. With Hugh Jackman gone, the role of Wolverine remains ever-vacant, with numerous actors being named in contention for the role. One of the prime stars being named by fans for the role of Wolverine is Superman actor Henry Cavill. This impressive artwork created by digital artist “ApexForm” on Instagram shows Henry Cavill replacing Hugh Jackman as Wolverine. You can see Cavill as the X-Men hero below.

In the artwork, Superman actor Henry Cavill powerfully exudes the same energy and charisma that Hugh Jackman carried as Wolverine for almost twenty years.Henry Cavill is also rocking the beard that Wolverine is frequently seen sporting in the comics and movies. On his left cheek, the Superman actor has a cut which gives us a cheeky look at his adamantium skull.

We have no genuine idea if Superman actor Henry Cavill will be taking on the role of Wolverine, especially because Hugh Jackman left such big shoes to fill. That being said, Henry Cavill has shown time and time again that he’s one of the most powerful working actors today and taking on the role of Wolverine would probably come natural to him.

Marvel Studios confirmed plans to include mutants in the Marvel Cinematic Universe during its 2019 San Diego Comic-Con presentation. However, the studio is reportedly in no rush to introduce the X-Men to the MCU, meaning it will likely be some time before we learn who will replace Hugh Jackman as Wolverine.

What do you think of the concept design? Do you want to see Superman star Henry Cavill take on the role of Wolverine? Are you sad to see Hugh Jackman leave the role? Sound-off in the comments!
