Though Kingsman: The Golden Circle was only released this past weekend, the creative team behind the film have already begun formulating plans for a third film and possibly beyond. Though details on those plans are currently being kept close to the chest, lead star Taron Egerton recently revealed that he would like to see Dwayne Johnson play the third Kingsman villain during an interview with The Hollywood Reporter.
Egerton explained that he believes Dwayne Johnson would be ‘the right fit’ the Kingsman 3 villain based on the information he has on the role:
“I know who the character is and it’s nothing like this actor, but I love Dwayne Johnson. I think he’s the right fit for it, but the villain role Matthew has described to me is not Dwayne Johnson.”
Considering Dwayne Johnson has portrayed action heroes and comedic characters in the past, two staples of the Kingsman franchise thus far, I find it easy to see the charismatic movie star fitting into the universe Matthew Vaughn has created. Kingsman: The Secret Service introduced the world to Kingsman – an independent, international intelligence agency operating at the highest level of discretion, whose ultimate goal is to keep the world safe. In Kingsman: The Golden Circle, our heroes face a new challenge. When their headquarters are destroyed and the world is held hostage, their journey leads them to the discovery of an allied spy organization in the US called Statesman, dating back to the day they were both founded. In a new adventure that tests their agents’ strength and wits to the limit, these two elite secret organizations band together to defeat a ruthless common enemy, in order to save the world, something that’s becoming a bit of a habit for Eggsy…
Directed by Matthew Vaughn, The film stars Taryn Egerton, Mark Strong, Colin Firth, Jeff Bridges, Julianne Moore, Channing Tatum, Pedro Pascal, Vinnie Jones, Sir Elton John and Halle Berry.

5 Millarworld Projects Netflix Should Develop First
With news breaking that Neflix has purchased Millarworld, comic book fans have a lot of new digital content to look forward to. Mark Millar, the man whose work on The Ultimates inspired the on-screen depiction of the Avengers, has a huge cabal of books that explore distinct aspects of comic book archetypes. Not only will Netflix create content based off of the Millarworld catalog, but they will continue to publish new comic series as well.
Unfortunately, Kick-Ass and Kingsman, the two most successful franchises in Millarworld, are not part of the deal. While fans of the movies may be unhappy, I think every Millarworld project on this list has huge potential to capture the hearts of fans around the world. Millar’s unique mix of action, satire and heart distinguish his stories from everything else on the shelves, and I’m beyond excited to see what Neflix can whip up. Some of his books can work as movies, but some will work better as mature television programs, so I’m happy that Millarworld teamed up with Netflix instead of a traditional media company like Lionsgate or Sony.
