See Taron Egerton Turn Into MCU Wolverine To Replace Hugh Jackman

He suits the claws!

Taron Egerton suits up as Hugh Jackman’s Wolverine replacement in a new concept that imagines the X-Men character in the MCU.

As fans eagerly await the next chapter of the Marvel Cinematic Universe with Black Widow, many are wondering what the next big threat will be for the Avengers – as well as any other heroes waiting in the wings. Marvel’s Kevin Feige previously teased that the X-Men are on the horizon after Disney acquired 21st Century Fox, so it’s only a matter of time until some of the most iconic mutants make their debut in the MCU. It wouldn’t be surprising if Marvel Studios casts the heroes a little younger in an attempt to get plenty of movies out of them. One candidate often discussed as the fan favorite choice for Hugh Jackman’s Wolverine successor is Rocketman star Taron Egerton.

A new concept from Instagram artist ‘Mizuriau’ on reveals Taron Egerton as Wolverine for the MCU, taking its cues from Hugh Jackman’s prolific version of the Marvel hero. Alongside the long hair and trimmed beard, Egerton can be seen sporting Jackman’s leather jacket which became synonymous with the X-Men legend. The design gives Egerton those classic Adamantium claws and a few deep cuts on his face to match Logan’s berserker nature. When it comes to casting the mutant, the Kingsman and Rocketman star would really be the perfect choice for the role. Drop down to see Taron Egerton replacing Hugh Jackman as Wolverine below.
