Ron Howard, the director of the upcoming Untitled Star Wars Han Solo Movie has tweeted out a picture of himself and star Thandie Newton, with the caption stating that Newton is back to film more scenes. Howard has consistently been putting out behind-the-scenes photos from the film’s set ever since he was announced to relieve Phil Lord and Chris Miller of their directing duties. In this brand new image tweeted out by Howard, both he and Newton are seen smiling against the film’s set.

The most interesting part of this image is the caption that comes along with it, which signals that the film is going through reshoots. We can assume that those reshoots are lighting up the film’s tone, with Howard saying “to light up some key new #UntitledHanSolo scenes” to back it up.
Filming will more than likely end soon as many of the principal players in the film have wrapped up, including Donald Glover, Emilia Clarke, Paul Bettany, and now Thandie Newton.
Production should be ending soon, which means that we’ll more than likely get a teaser of sorts by the time Star Wars: The Last Jedi hits cinemas in December.
The Untitled Han Solo Film is directed by Ron Howard and stars Alden Ehrenreich as the titular character, Donald Glover as Lando Calrissian, Emilia Clarke as a character rumored to be named Kira, Woody Harrelson as Beckett – Solo’s mentor, Thandie Newton in an undisclosed role, and Joonas Suoatamo as Chewbacca.
Plot details on the film are currently unknown but the film is expected to meet its original release date of May 25th, 2018.

8 ‘Star Wars’ Spin-Off Movies We Really Want To See
May the 4th be with you, everyone! Even on May the 8th! With Star Wars weekend in the rear-view mirror, it’s still a great time to kick back, get out your old glow-in-the-dark lightsaber toys and Darth Vader Halloween masks, and pop in those original trilogy DVDs. Maybe even all 8 currently-released films, if you’re up for the challenge (both mental and otherwise). Speaking of which, Rogue One: A Star Wars Story just came out on Blu-ray, marking the first home release of many Star Wars spin-off movies to come.
Of these, only one future title has been confirmed – Han Solo: A Star Wars Story, to be released in May of 2018. Beyond that, we know Disney had at least two more planned, and probably more down the line. And why not? The Star Wars universe is so ripe for exploration. There are so many characters we were introduced to in the Saga movies that could easily get their own film. And it doesn’t stop there. The legacy of the Jedi and the Sith go back thousands of years, opening up virtually endless possibilities of story material.
Given this abundance of material just waiting to be tapped into, Heroic Hollywood decided to celebrate the Star Wars holiday by compiling a list of the Star Wars stand-alone movies we’d most like to see. While some of the films on this list are more likely to be developed than others, they each share one unifying factor: they’d all be freakin’ awesome!
