‘The Flash’ To Introduce Justice League Detroit’s Gypsy In…

As of this week all the CW DC TV shows have gone on a hiatus until late January 2017, including The Flash Season 3. While we are all waiting for the second half of the season to kick off, we are getting new information on what to expect in the back half. During a recent edition of CW Fan Feast, Carlos Valdes, who plays Cisco Ramon a.k.a. Vibe, revealed that the DC Comics character Cynthia Reynolds a.k.a. Gypsy will be coming to the show later this season.

“There’s going to be a new visitor to our world named Gypsy. DC Comics fans will be familiar with Gypsy. She is going to be coming in our world and Vibe will definitely get to learn some new skills as part of getting to know her. So I’m excited to see how that plays out.”

In the DC lore, Gypsy has been affiliated with teams such as the Birds of Prey as well as the Justice League Detroit and Justice League Task Force. She is also a meta-human whose power set consists of illusion casting which includes being able to blend into backgrounds as well as become invisble.

It remains to be seen how close to the comic version the TV version will be as well as when she is appearing in the back half. Based on Valdes’ description, it seems that Gypsy in this show might be coming from a different Earth in the Multiverse as he keeps using the terms “our world” in the quote.

The Flash Season 3 returns with new episodes on January 24, 2017 at 8/7c on The CW. Make sure to check back at Heroic Hollywood after every single episode of Season 3 for our weekly reviews and much more.
