‘The Flash’: ‘Shade’ Review

the-flash-30608#5 – Flash Villain Shade Introduced

I should have known better that we would obviously be introduced to the Flash villain Shade for an episode titled “Shade”. In this instance, I thought the episode title would have a metaphorical meaning, but turns out that we were getting the villain too. As someone who isn’t familiar with this particular Flash baddie, it was neat to see how the show approached him, although he didn’t get much of a character. However, I was glad with how they left the door open for him to come back in future episodes and flesh him out. The effects for Shade though were remarkable, but also really spooky, which made me feel that he would have been perfect for a Halloween themed episode.

Great site, dude – first time here. But, anyways . . . Thought it could have played a little different at the end there, like Alchemy (yes, okay, “Dr Alchemy”) was trying to hold back Savitar, rather than pulling him out of the hat as an ally when his party got busted up. Sorta felt more like a prophet holding back the doom best he could – maybe an ally for the team, down the track? Or perhaps it’s the tequila talking.
