Several characters in The Flash’s third season have been going through changes and evolutions in more ways than one, with Wally West, Caitlin Snow as well as Cisco Ramon beginning to head down towards their respective comic book destinies. In a recent interview with TV Insider, Keiynan Lonsdale and Danielle Panabaker previewed what is coming up for Wally and Caitlin respectively.
Panabaker spoke abou how Caitlin’s powers are beginning to manifest so much that it is also causing some significant physical changes to Caitlin’s body and look. She also compared to how Barry had to figure out his powers back in Season 1 with Caitlin’s power search in Season 3.
“Obviously, she is going through some physical changes, but she’s figuring that out. As maybe you remember [in] Season 1 with Barry, it took him a minute to figure out his powers. ‘Oh, I kept passing out because I don’t eat enough.’ Things like that. She’s going to have to figure out different ways to cope with these changes.”
Lonsdale went on to talk about Wally’s reason for wanting to be a hero so much and how his journey to get to that place (again) will reveal more about his character as the season goes on, especially as tonight’s episode is heavily focused on Wally.
“What we’ll see is that he’s not reckless for no reason. His passion, there’s a desperation and as he wants to prove himself, [and] we’ll start to understand why he is reckless. He sometimes doesn’t put enough value on his own life, which is something that he needs to learn. It’s definitely going to go deeper and deeper as these dreams go further and manipulate in different ways, and he’ll definitely be more affected, not necessarily as just more reckless, but it will strike a struggle in him.”
The Flash Season 3 airs on Tuesday nights at 8/7c on The CW. Make sure to check back at Heroic Hollywood after every single episode of Season 3 for our weekly reviews.
