Thor’s Hammer, Starlord’s Helmet & More Props/Costumes Up For Auction

How would you like to own a piece of Marvel Cinematic Universe history? Well, now is your chance… if you’ve got thousands of British Pounds just lying around.

The London-based Prop Store has collected a treasure trove of incredible props and costumes from some of your favorite films for their annual Entertainment Memorabilia auction, which is set to take place next month.

One of the most noteworthy items up for auction is Mjolnir, Thor’s mighty hammer, as weilded by Chris Hemsworth in Marvel’s Thor in 2011. They will also be auctioning off one of Peter Quill’s Starlord helmets, as worn by Chris Pratt in the first Guardians of the Galaxy film in 2014.

It’s not just Marvel items, though. Also up for auction are Christopher Reeve’s Superman flying tunic from Superman IV: The Quest for Peace, Jack Nicholson’s Joker costume from Tim Burton’s 1989 Batman, Ian McKellen’s Magneto helmet and tunic from Bryan Singer’s 2000 X-Men movie, a Darth Vader helmet from the 1980 The Empire Strikes Back promotional tour and a bullwhip from Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade. The auction begins on September 26th in London.

Thor and his hammer are next set to appear in Thor: Ragnarok. Directed by Taika Waititi, the film stars Chris Hemsworth as Thor, Tom Hiddleston as Loki, Idris Elba as Heimdall, Anthony Hopkins as Odin, Cate Blanchett as Hela, Tessa Thompson as Valkyrie, Jeff Goldblum as the Grandmaster, Karl Urban as Skurge, Mark Ruffalo as Bruce Banner/Hulk, Taika Waititi as Korg, Clancy Brown as Surtur, Benedict Cumberbatch as Doctor Strange and Sam Neill in an undisclosed role. Here is the official synopsis:

Imprisoned on the other side of the universe, the mighty Thor (Chris Hemsworth) finds himself in a deadly gladiatorial contest that pits him against the Hulk (Mark Ruffalo), his former ally and fellow Avenger. Thor’s quest for survival leads him in a race against time to prevent the all-powerful Hela (Cate Blanchett) from destroying his home world and the Asgardian civilization.

Marvel’s Thor: Ragnarok opens in theaters on November 3, 2017.
