‘Thor: Ragnarok’ Featurette Puts The Spotlight On Hela

Thor Ragnarok Cate Blanchett HelaMarvel has released a brand new featurette that highlight’s the villain for the upcoming Thor: Ragnarok, Hela, played by Cate Blanchett. In the featurette, Cate Blanchett discusses her character alongside director Taika Waititi and fellow star Chris Hemsworth.

The featurette mainly focuses on what we can expect from Hela as the MCU’s first female villain, and how Blanchett wants audiences to both love and hate her. The featurette also treats audiences with brand new footage, including banter between Thor and Hela, Hela recruiting Karl Urban’s Skurge, and a showdown between Thor and Hela.

This looks like a fun movie, and it makes me excited for where they might take Thor in the future. After Avengers: Infinity War, Thor is fair game for Marvel Studios (and hopefully Taika Waititi again) to do whatever they want with him.

There are some amazing Thor stories in the Marvel catalog for them to take inspiration from. I think that’s pretty key at this point, for them to just take inspiration from these stories and not follow the plot 100 percent. The Marvel Cinematic Universe is just too different compared to the Marvel Comics line, but that doesn’t mean there aren’t some amazing stories the movies could emulate.
