A new Japanese trailer has been released for Marvel’s Thor: Ragnarok and it features a very exciting cameo for anyone who stuck around for the post-credits scene of Doctor Strange.
The Japanese trailer is mostly just a re-cut version of the San Diego Comic Con trailer, but it does feature our first look at Benedict Cumberbatch as Doctor Strange in the film, along with a nice exchange of dialogue between the Sorceror Supreme and Chris Hemsworth’s Thor.

It will have been a year between the release of Doctor Strange last fall and Thor: Ragnarok‘s release this November, but I can honestly say my excitement has not lessened in the slightest. I’m really looking forward to seeing two of Marvel’s coolest characters interact more as Doctor Strange helps Thor locate his father, Odin (Anthony Hopkins), who Loki (Tom Hiddleston) banished to Midgard in Thor: The Dark World.
Directed by Taika Waititi, Thor: Ragnarok stars Chris Hemsworth as Thor, Tom Hiddleston as Loki, Idris Elba as Heimdall, Anthony Hopkins as Odin, Cate Blanchett as Hela, Tessa Thompson as Valkyrie, Jeff Goldblum as the Grandmaster, Karl Urban as Skurge, Mark Ruffalo as Bruce Banner/Hulk, Taika Waititi as Korg, Clancy Brown as Surtur, Benedict Cumberbatch as Doctor Strange and Sam Neill in an undisclosed role. Here is the official synopsis:
Imprisoned on the other side of the universe, the mighty Thor (Chris Hemsworth) finds himself in a deadly gladiatorial contest that pits him against the Hulk (Mark Ruffalo), his former ally and fellow Avenger. Thor’s quest for survival leads him in a race against time to prevent the all-powerful Hela (Cate Blanchett) from destroying his home world and the Asgardian civilization.
Marvel’s Thor: Ragnarok opens in theaters on November 3, 2017.
