When it comes to video games based on movies, particularly those that feature some of our most beloved heroes, few titles have managed to avoid criticism. The common assumption is that these sorts of games are not enjoyable to play, whilst some don’t include enough of the fun, themes or characters from the movies they are based on. We’re looking at you, ‘Back To The Future’ (1989).

Still, there are some games based on our favorite film heroes that aren’t a complete mess. In fact, some are even more well liked than the movies that inspired them. Today, we thought we’d take a look at three of these games, and we even made sure that two are available online so you can go play them too.

Exclusively available on PocketWin Casino, this slot is based on the incredibly popular James Bond franchise but also has its own undeniable flare that fans love. These are most successfully expressed during the game’s plethora of bonus features where players can win up to 1500x their original wager and plenty of free spins.

The fact that PocketWin hosts the game is also a great advantage as not only can you play whenever and wherever you like on your mobile, you can even make deposits using your phone bill. This means that you don’t need to share any personal information at all. You simply select deposit by phone bill, confirm via SMS and carry on playing. It’s that easy.

Indiana Jones and the Fate of Atlantis

Indiana Jones has been a beloved character ever since Harrison Ford featured in ‘Raiders of the Lost Ark’ in 1981. Since then, LucasArts has released numerous games both based on the movies and with original story lines. However, none has been as well received as Indiana Jones and the Fate of Atlantis.

There are a total of three modes to choose from: Action, Puzzles and Co-Operation, which are arguably also the three central elements of the plots of the Indy movies. Throughout the game, you are called to locate clues, solve puzzles and cleverly conduct conversations to gain hints, get out of tough situations and progress through the game. Plus, you actually get to hear some original, snarky dialogue from Indy himself as well other characters you know and love throughout the game.

Needless to say, if you love Indiana Jones then you absolutely must play ‘Fate of Atlantis’, and since the game can be found online there’s no excuse not to start right away. It’s also short enough that you could probably complete it in one sitting.

Spiderman: Web of Shadows

Last but certainly not least, how could we possibly finish off this list without mentioning a true superhero? Over the decades, Marvel’s Spiderman has received numerous game installments with some receiving great reviews – although many others have been cast off into gaming history never to be mentioned again.

Of all the titles, ‘Spiderman: Web of Shadows’ has remained a classic favorite amongst fans as it has everything a superhero game should have. It features a New York City location that shifts as you swing, the combat features most of Spiderman’s famous moves, there are cameos from other Marvel heroes including Luke Cage and Wolverine, and there’s even a black symbiote suit.

‘Spiderman: Web of Shadows’ is not available online just yet, but it is available on plenty of other platforms so you’ll definitely be able to get your hands on it.

There we have it: three of the best games based on your favourite film heroes. Are there any that we missed out or any you’d like to suggest to other gamers? Let us know in the comments below.
