‘Titans’: Lindsey Gort Joins Cast As Dick Grayson’s Partner

Titans Lindsey Gort, known to audiences as one of the stars of The Carrie Diaries, is joining up with the Titans on the new DC Entertainment television adaptation.

Gort will be playing Dick Grayson’s new partner, Police Detective Amy Rohrbach. Brenton Thwaites has already been cast as Batman’s former sidekick, Robin, who, of course, is the leader of the group.

The series written by DC creative chief officer Geoff Johns, Akiva Goldsman (Star Trek: Discovery) and Greg Berlanti (Arrow, DC’s Legends Of Tomorrow, The Flash, Supergirl) follows a group of young superheroes from all over the DC Universe when Dick Grayson emerges from the shadows to become the leader of the fearless band of new heroes known as the Titans.

 The long in development live-action series adaptation of the Teen Titans comes from Weed Road Pictures and Berlanti Productions in association with Warner Bros. Television. Goldsman, Johns and Berlanti Prods’ Berlanti and Sarah Schechter serving as exec producers.
Here’s the official synopsis:

Titans explores one of the most popular comic book teams ever. It follows a group of young soon-to-be superheroes recruited from every corner of the DC Universe. In the action-adventure series, Dick Grayson emerges from the shadows to become the leader of a fearless band of new heroes that includes Starfire, Raven and others.”

In 1993, Static Shock ( more commonly known as Static) was brought onto the comics world under Milestone Comics, which was an independent affiliate of DC comics. He was created to be different from the other DC characters at the time and because of this, Static has gained notoriety over the years, including an extremely popular animated show that premiered in the early 2000s.

Ever since that show, new fans have latched on to Static as a character that carries a lot of weight. This increasing popularity over the years has led to rumors and speculations over his return to the screen, but none of them have panned out.
