Tom Hardy’s Venom Faces Off Against Woody Harrelson’s Carnage In Awesome New Image

Tom Hardy’s Venom faces Woody Harrelson’s Carnage in this awesome new image that imagines the future of Sony’s Universe of Marvel Characters.

Woody Harrelson is reportedly reprising his role as Cletus Kasady aka Carnage in the upcoming Venom sequel starring Tom Hardy. The first film introduced audiences to Woody Harrelson’s Cletus Kasady, who in the comics becomes Carnage — one of the most vicious, terrible and beloved Marvel villains ever — after merging with the offspring of the Venom symbiote. Although Venom’s post-credits scene revealed Woody Harrelson’s Carnage in prison, fans haven’t forgotten Cletus’ tease that he’ll find a way to escape and give Tom Hardy’s Venom his biggest challenge yet.

Recent concept art revealed Sony’s original plans for Venom included a battle between Tom Hardy’s Venom and Woody Harrelson’s Carnage in the third act. While the film ultimately went another direction, featuring Tom Hardy’s Venom going head to head with Riz Ahmed’s Riot, that’s not enough to stop fans from imagining what Tom Hardy could look like when his Venom finally comes face to face with Woody Harrelson’s Carnage. Thanks to a brand new image from digital artist jakubmaslowski_, fans can get an idea for what it could look like when the two symbiotes face off in the Venom sequel. You can check it out below!

Andy Serkis is set to direct the Venom sequel with Tom Hardy returning in the role of the reporter-turned-Spider-Man nemesis Eddie Brock along with Michelle Williams, and Woody Harrelson in their respective roles. Sony reportedly wants the Venom sequel to begin filming in November. The film will continue to expand Sony’s Universe of Spider-Man characters. The script is being written by Kelly Marcel, who developed the story with Tom Hardy himself.

Until then, fans can enjoy Tom Hardy as Eddie Brock in the first Venom film. Here’s the official synopsis:

The evolution story of Marvel’s most enigmatic, complex and badass character – Venom! Eddie Brock (Tom Hardy) is a broken man after he loses everything including his job and fiancée. Just when his life is at its lowest, he becomes host to an alien symbiote which results in extraordinary superpowers – transforming him into Venom. Will these powers be enough for this new lethal protector to defeat great evil forces, especially against the far stronger and more weaponized symbiote rival, Riot?

Directed by Ruben Fleischer from a script written by Jeff Pinkner & Scott Rosenberg and Kelly Marcel, Venom stars Tom Hardy, Michelle Williams, Riz Ahmed, Scott Haze, Reid Scott, Jenny Slate, Ron Cephas Jones, and Woody Harrelson.

Tom Hardy’s Venom is now available on Digital HD, 4K Ultra HD Combo Pack, Blu-ray Combo Pack, and DVD. Stay tuned to Heroic Hollywood for the latest news on Tom Hardy, Woody Harrelson, and the Venom sequel.
