A new piece of fan art depicts Tom Holland’s Spider-Man with the Venom symbiote suit following his exit from the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
Fans have been taking Tom Holland’s exit as Spider-Man from the MCU pretty hard. The good news is that Tom Holland will continue to play Spider-Man in the future. Now that Tom Holland’s Spider-Man is no longer in the MCU, Sony will likely introduce him into its existing Universe of Marvel characters that includes Venom, played by Tom Hardy. It’s been reported recently that Marvel Studios cut a cameo with Tom Holland’s Peter Parker in Venom, but he could now appear in the sequel from director Andy Serkis.
Tom Holland wore a black stealth suit in Spider-Man: Far From Home, but new art from digital artist Jaxson Derr shows him in the proper Venom symbiote suit. You can check out the artwork with the Venom symbiote below.
Tom Holland was last seen as Peter Parker in Spider-Man: Far From Home. Meanwhile, Tom Hardy is set to reprise his role as Eddie Brock in the yet-to-be titled Venom sequel. Andy Serkis is directing Venom 2 from a script by Kelly Marcel, with Hardy’s co-stars set to include returning actors Michelle Williams and Woody Harrelson. It is widely believed Sony intends to release Venom 2 on October 2, 2020, a date the studio is currently holding for an untitled Marvel project.
