DC’s Tom King Needs Bodyguard At Comic-Con Because Of Batman #50

Batman Catwoman DC ComicsDC Comics writer Tom King revealed he has a bodyguard at San Diego Comic-Con because of the death threats over Batman #50.

Earlier this month, DC Comics released King’s controversial Batman #50, which features the wedding of Batman and Catwoman. The two masked vigilantes ended up not getting married and the whole wedding was revealed to be part of Bane’s plan to break the Bat. King has now shared on Twitter that due to the outcry over the issue, he requires a bodyguard at San-Diego Comic Con this week as he walks the convention floor. King took over the Batman series from Scott Snyder in 2017 as a part of DC’s Rebirth line. King has revealed his run on Batman is set to continue for another 50 issues and will deal with Bane assembling some of Batman’s greatest rogues.

‘Aquaman’ & ‘Shazam!’ Costumes Showcased By DC At San Diego Comic-Con

Aquaman ShazamDC has an amazing display set up for San Diego Comic-Con this year, featuring cool new looks at costumes from Aquaman and the Shazam! movie.

As we await footage and details on DC’s upcoming films, the company’s display on the show floor of San Diego Comic-Con this year offers a ton to be excited for. On display is Zachary Levi’s Shazam costume from the upcoming film. Seeing the costume up-close allows you to really appreciate the intricacy of the design. The texture on the suit adds a lot to its characters and the vibrant colors will set it apart from the rest of DC’s on-screen heroes.

Aquaman also has a presence at the convention this year. The first trailer will be hitting the internet this Saturday and now we have the chance to check out some costumes from the upcoming film, including Mera’s. Check out the first picture of DC’s display below, and click “Next” to see the rest of them!

Directed by James Wan, Aquaman stars Jason Momoa as Arthur Curry, Amber Heard as Mera, Yahya Abdul-Mateen II as Black Manta, Patrick Wilson as Orm, Dolph Lundgren as Nereus, Temuera Morrison as Thomas Curry, Nicole Kidman as Queen Atlanna, Willem Dafoe as Vulko and Ludi Lin as Murk. The film opens on December 21, 2018.

Shazam! is directed by David F. Sandberg and stars Zachary Levi, Asher Angel, Grace Fulton, Jack Dylan Grazer, Cooper Andrews, Marta Milans, Faithe Herman, Ian Chen, Jovan Armand and Mark Strong. It hits theaters on April 5, 2019.
