VIDEO: Ezra Miller Passionately Obsesses Over Harry Potter

Ezra Miller, Wand

Ezra Miller seems like one of the coolest actors in the business. Obviously, he has all the talent in the world as showcased in his performances in movies such as We Need to Talk About Kevin and The Perks of Being a Wallflower, but now that he is part of two major Warner Bros. franchises, he just reached another level of coolness.

Many comic book fans know that Miller is portraying Barry Allen/The Flash in the DC Extended Universe, and on top of playing a superhero, the actor is also part of J.K. Rowling’s Wizarding World, and is featured in a mysterious, yet significant role in Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them.

Throughout interviews, Miller has proven to have quite a bit of geek credibility beyond lending his acting talents to these films. Throughout the promotional tour of Fantastic Beasts, Miller has expressed that he is a self-proclaimed Harry Potter fanatic, and recently gave a lecture about Gellert Grindelwald and his place in Wizarding history.

If you thought he was a huge Potter fan from that video, wait until you see him in this new video courtesy of MTV. The video depicts the actor sitting at a restaurant with Josh Horowitz. Horowitz expresses how mind-blown he feels that Miller is part of this universe now, but once he reveals that he hasn’t read any of the books, Miller gets pretty obsessive. And I mean, *really* obsessive.

As a fellow fan of Rowling’s series, I couldn’t help but grin from ear-to-ear as Miller expressed his knowledge of the books. My personal favorite moment was when he bragged about how he knew that in Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire, Dobby was the one who handed Harry the Gillyweed for the second task. Not Neville.

You can see Ezra Miller as Credence Barebone once Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them opens in theaters this weekend. You can also read my review for the film right here.
