Vincent D’Onofrio became an instant fan favorite playing Wilson Fisk/Kingpin in season one and two of Marvel’s Daredevil. Rumors have started to circulate about the possibility of D’Onofrio appearing in the upcoming Spider-Man: Homecoming as Fisk.
D’Onofrio took to Twitter to address the rumors and while he is excited for that chance, odds are that will not be a team-up seen on the big screen anytime soon.
Sorry folks but this is news to me.
It would be great but I don’t think it will happen. V. https://t.co/GrVwbUYsqX

Spider-Man and Kingpin have a history within comic book lore. Fans are hoping to see these two characters collide at one point but it appears that Marvel will continue to keep their Netflix universe separate from the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
Recently, Charlie Cox confirmed once again that he has not been pursued by Marvel to appear in any films, “There was no conversation about joining any of the movies.” Although, the actor continued to display interested in appearing on the big screen, “Who wouldn’t want to be in the highest grossing film of all time?”
The reboot is being produced by Marvel Studios’ Kevin Feige and Amy Pascal. Production is set to start sometime this year as it will feature the MCU’s take on Spider-Man in his high school years.
Marvel’s Spider-Man: Homecoming opens in theaters on July 7, 2017.
