Needless to say that whatever Warner Bros. has been doing with the DC films, it has not been working out. Wonder Woman has been the only critical and commercial success. Justice League was the real wake-up call to the studio. While not an outright flop or bomb, Zack Snyder’s DC team-up movie was certainly a disappointment. Reviews were once again mixed and it will end its run in theaters short of $700 million.
Change is very much needed. As the new head of the studio, Hamada can bring along new energy. The executive comes into the picture relatively untouched by the events that have plagued DC Films. This is something that the studio can need at a critical juncture such as now.
