Warwick Davis is both a famous Star Wars supporting actor and a collaborator with director Ron Howard, so it’s not surprising to learn that both have reunited on the set of the untitled Han Solo movie.
Howard revealed on social media that the actor – who he previously worked with on Willow – has filmed a scene for the Han Solo movie and has implied that he will film more:

Davis has been in several Star Wars movies across each of the major eras – in 1983’s Return of the Jedi as Wicket the Ewok, 1999’s The Phantom Menace as W. Wald, Weazel, a Tatooine street trader, and a stand-in for Yoda, in 2015’s The Force Awakens as Wollivan, in 2016’s Rogue One: A Star Wars Story as Weeteef Cyu-Bee, in 2017’s The Last Jedi as an unspecified character, and now another unspecified character in 2018’s Han Solo movie. In addition, Davis will also be making an animated debut as the voice of Rukh in the final season of Star Wars Rebels, which airs starting in the Autumn of this year. Warwick is an important part of the Star Wars franchise and it’s good to see that he’ll be appearing in the Han Solo film as well.
The untitled Star Wars Han Solo spin-off is still scheduled for a May 25, 2018 release date. Its cast includes Alden Ehrenreich, Woody Harrelson, Emilia Clarke, Donald Glover, Thandie Newton, Phoebe Waller-Bridge, Joonas Suotamo, Michael K. Williams, Ian Kenny, and Warwick Davis.
8 ‘Star Wars’ Spin-Off Movies We Really Want To See
May the 4th be with you, everyone! Even on May the 8th! With Star Wars weekend in the rear-view mirror, it’s still a great time to kick back, get out your old glow-in-the-dark lightsaber toys and Darth Vader Halloween masks, and pop in those original trilogy DVDs. Maybe even all 8 currently-released films, if you’re up for the challenge (both mental and otherwise). Speaking of which, Rogue One: A Star Wars Story just came out on Blu-ray, marking the first home release of many Star Wars spin-off movies to come.
Of these, only one future title has been confirmed – Han Solo: A Star Wars Story, to be released in May of 2018. Beyond that, we know Disney had at least two more planned, and probably more down the line. And why not? The Star Wars universe is so ripe for exploration. There are so many characters we were introduced to in the Saga movies that could easily get their own film. And it doesn’t stop there. The legacy of the Jedi and the Sith go back thousands of years, opening up virtually endless possibilities of story material.
Given this abundance of material just waiting to be tapped into, Heroic Hollywood decided to celebrate the Star Wars holiday by compiling a list of the Star Wars stand-alone movies we’d most like to see. While some of the films on this list are more likely to be developed than others, they each share one unifying factor: they’d all be freakin’ awesome!
