Do you still want to believe?
This is the question posed by the new website for The X-Files revival, a six-episode miniseries set to premiere during a two-night event on January 24 and 25. The website does not feature a glut of content at the moment, but you can check it out here for a one-minute preview of the show’s opening scene.
The scene itself is rather straightforward, offering little more than a basic recap of the show’s premise. It provides newcomers with an overview of Fox Mulder’s relationship with his sister, his career with the FBI, and his history with Dana Scully. While there isn’t much in the way of new footage, this scene may still be enough to invigorate those who are looking forward to another foray into the unknown when The X-Files revives in just two months.
The X-Files will feature series veterans David Duchovny as Fox Mulder, Gillian Anderson as Dana Scully, Mitch Pileggi as Walter Skinner, and William B. Davis as the Cigarette-Smoking Man. Also look out for the return of Bruce Harwood, Tom Braidwood and Dean Haglund as the Lone Gunmen, along with Annabeth Gish as Monica Reyes. Joel McHale will also be featured in a new role, news anchor and Mulder fanboy Tad O’Malley.
