Fires in Santa Clarita, California stopped production on Westworld for a while, but the cast and crew are hard at work to finish filming the second season of the show.
TheWrap learned that Westworld‘s forced hiatus has finally concluded, with filming moving right along as of today. HBO gave the publication the following statement:
“Westworld is currently scheduled to resume shooting today. The production will have a Fire Safety Officer on set to monitor conditions throughout the day.”
The series was one of HBO’s biggest hits in 2016, and while the series was quickly renewed, development on a second season has taken longer than most shows (not surprising, considering that the development on the first season was said to have issues of its own). However, given the sheer acclaim the first season had, it only makes sense that they would take their time in developing the next chapter of the Westworld saga.
Westworld will return in Spring 2018. The series stars Sir Anthony Hopkins, Ed Harris, Evan Rachel Wood, James Marsden, Thandie Newton, Jeffrey Wright, Tessa Thompson, Sidse Babett Knudsen, Jimmi Simpson, Rodrigo Santoro, Shannon Woodward, Ingrid Bolsø Berdal, Ben Barnes, Hiroyuki Sanada, Gustaf Skarsgård, Fares Fares, Betty Gabriel, Jonathan Tucker, Neil Jackson, Katja Herbers, Simon Quarterman, Angela Sarafyan, Clifton Collins, Jr., and Luke Hemsworth.
7 Epic Things Likely To Happen In ‘Game Of Thrones’ Season 8
Game of Thrones season seven is done, so now audiences have to wait for about a year or so to find out what the epic ending will be. While that may seem like a lot of time, just remember book readers have been waiting six years to find out things that were given away in scenes filled with poorly written exposition.
Regardless, season eight is set to be quite explosive! Not only will audiences be treated to watching the fall of the Night King, but Cersei Lannister is likely to finally learn how cruel karma can be. There are gonna be small, emotional moments like the reunion between Bran and Jon and massive fight scenes like the confrontation between Theon and Euron Greyjoy. No matter what happens, fans will have to accept that this is the end of the Game of Thrones story. Hopefully, the team behind the biggest TV phenomenon in decades will bring everything to an exciting, well written conclusion!
