‘Westworld’ Episode 9 “The Well-Tempered Clavier” Trailer Adds Credence To Big Fan Theory

The final two episodes of Westworld‘s first season have a lot of ground to work. The penultimate episode “The Well-Tempered Clavier” is up first next Sunday and you can check out the trailer below.

The groundwork is laid for some pretty big conflicts. Ford’s storyline is almost complete and it involves an excavated town and church of special meaning to the park’s history as well as Wyatt’s gang of insane cultists. The Man in Black’s quest for the Maze collided with it as Wyatt’s numerous followers including the familiar Angela, captured him after killing Teddy (again). Meanwhile, Maeve’s escape plan went awry and evidence builds that William and Dolores’ storyline is indeed taking place in the past and that he is the Man in Black of 30 years ago.

Now that Logan has captured the two of them, I wonder if the death of his incipient brother-in-law in Westworld causes his sister aka William’s fiancee to marry him out of fear or despite hatred, as the Man in Black said in “Trace Decay” that was how his wife felt about him their entire marriage. The pieces all fit, the picture is becoming clearer but it won’t be for two weeks we see the full image when the finale “The Bicameral Mind” airs. Fortunately, we already have season 2 to look forward to.

The penultimate episode of season 1, “The Well-Tempered Clavier,” airs at Sunday, Nov. 20 at 9 p.m. on HBO. We’ll be updating our theory list and previewing the final two episodes in the coming days. Here are all our reviews so far.
