‘Westworld’ 1.07 “Trompe L’Oeil” Trailer Has Control Issues

Dr. Ford thinks free will is all well and good – as long as he’s the one wielding it.

The trailer for the seventh episode of Westworld‘s first season teases the park creator’s skewed worldview as well as the return of Dolores and William (and no doubt his lecherous future brother-in-law Logan). There’s also the continued development of Maeve, which got literally and figuratively notched up in tonight’s episode (my review here). Meanwhile, Tessa Thompson joins the show as major new character Charlotte Hale and giving it an excitingly different flavor in the process.

Episode 7, “Trompe L’Oeil”, directed by Frederick E.O. Toye, airs Sunday, Nov. 13

“Dolores (Evan Rachel Wood) and William (Jimmi Simpson) journey into treacherous terrain; Maeve (Thandie Newton) delivers an ultimatum; Bernard (Jeffrey Wright) considers his next move.”

Westworld airs Sundays at 9 p.m. on HBO. Catch up on the latest Westworld theories with our compendium and check out our previous episode reviews at the links below.
