Will Smith Calls ‘Suicide Squad’ Insane; Comments On Jared Leto’s Performance As The Joker

We’ve yet to hear  much from Will Smith about the upcoming Suicide Squad, but the actor & musician recently made an appearance on Beats 1 to promote his return to music and briefly commented on the upcoming film. Just how committed was Jared Leto to the role? Well, according to Smith, he’s never even actually met his co-star. After referring to the film as being “insane”, Smith had the following to say about Leto’s performance as the Clown Prince Of Crime.

I’ve never actually met Jared Leto. We worked together for 6 months and we’ve never exchanged a word outside of ‘Action!’ and ‘Cut!’ We’ve never said ‘Hello,’ we’ve never said ‘Good day.’ I’ve only ever spoken to him as Deadshot and him as the Joker. I literally have not met him yet. So, the first time I see him will be ‘Hey, Jared. What’s up?’

Not a single word exchanged off camera. He was all in on the Joker…I’m looking forward to meeting him.

Leto himself said that his performance is so insane that he’s going to be “locked away” after the film comes out. Add that to sending Margot Robbie a dead rat & Smith’s statement and it’s sure to keep fans foaming at the mouth to see just how deranged his incarnation of the character truly is. Only ten more months of waiting to go. As always, let us know what you think in the box below.
