@tomhardy as Wolverine done in android phone ! A small friendly competition with @smartsheep.art 🙂 can't wait to see what you're doing buddy ! . . . . . . #hughjackman #wolverine #logan #marvel #mcu #marveledits #marvelcomics #weaponx #xmen #xmendarkphoenix #xmencosplay #xmenapocalypse #xmendaysoffuturepast #blood #fancasting #fancast #fanart #tomhardy #tomhardyfans #tomhardyedit #mcuheroic #wolverineorigins #xmenoriginswolverine
As you can see, Tom Hardy is depicted with a grizzled Wolverine look that’s similiar to the one Hugh Jackman had as the clawed X-Men hero. We also see Tom Hardy with Logan’s dog tags, a bullet wound and even a cigar in his mouth.
Hugh Jackman played the role of Wolverine for nearly two decades, starting in 20th Century Fox’s first X-Men movie all the way up to his acclaimed swan song, Logan. Now that Marvel Studios has the theatrical rights to Wolverine and the rest of the X-Men, it is likely that the beloved character will be rebooted and recast for the canon of the MCU.
Tom Hardy is a common choice for fan casting in numerous franchises, and the MCU is no different. Even though he is set to reprise his role as Eddie Brock in the upcoming Venom sequel by Andy Serkis, fans are still interested in seeing him as another Marvel character. Perhaps he could be a worthy successor to Hugh Jackman.

Directed by Andy Serkis from a script written by Kelly Marcel, Venom 2 will also star Michelle Williams as Anne Weying and Woody Harrelson as Carnage. Naomie Harris is currently in talks to play Shriek. It is widely believed the Tom Hardy sequel is the untitled Marvel project Sony has slated for release on October 2, 2020.
