‘Wonder Woman: Bloodlines’ Animated Movie Gets 2019 Release Date

wonder woman-animatedThough DC and Warner Bros. are known for only releasing three animated films per year, they’ve decided to make 2019 a special year by giving fans one extra animated film in 2019, Wonder Woman: Bloodlines. 

In 2009, an animated film simply titled Wonder Woman was released, starring the voice talent of Keri Russell and Nathan Fillion. The film Wonder Woman and Steve Trevor going up against the villain Ares, the God of War, similar to the 2017 film starring Gal Gadot. Though the film was a big hit amongst fans, it never recieved a sequel, in fact Wonder Woman hasn’t headlined her own animated film since then. Ten years later, DC has decided to deliver a new animated Wonder Woman film titled Wonder Woman: Bloodlines. 

There’s no news yet on what the story will be for this new animated film, but it’s a good day for fans who wanted more Wonder Woman. Not only will next year bring BloodlinesWonder Woman 1984 will also be hitting theaters in Fall of 2019. Whether or not Bloodlines will serve as a sequel to the 2009 film or simply be it’s own thing, but we’ll be sure to keep you updated on all news regarding Wonder Woman: Bloodlines as it becomes available. Wonder Woman has been around for nearly eighty years, so there are plenty of exciting adventures to pull from her history.
