‘Wonder Woman’ Blu-Ray Bonus Feature Highlights Women In Filmmaking

While Wonder Woman is currently available on all digital platforms, we are just a few weeks away from its home video release on September 19 as earlier today Collider premiered a snippet from one of the many special features that will be included on the DVD and Blu-ray titled “The Wonder Behind the Camera – Inspiration of Wonder”.

The special feature spotlights the women who were involved behind-the-scenes of the film as they bring up the importance of women in filmmaking and how the cast and crew of Wonder Woman hope that the success of the film will inspire young women to take up a path in filmmaking.

You can check out a preview of the special feature below.

The film stars Gal Gadot as Diana Prince/Wonder Woman, Chris Pine as Steve Trevor, Robin Wright as General Antiope, Connie Nielsen as Queen Hippolyta, Lisa Loven Kongsli as Menalippe, Danny Huston as General Erich Ludendorff, David Thewlis as Sir Patrick Morgan, Elena Anaya as Doctor Maru, Ewen Bremner as Charlie, Saïd Taghmaoui as Sameer and Eugene Brave Rock as the Chief. Here’s the official synopsis:

’Wonder Woman’ hits movie theaters around the world next summer when Gal Gadot returns as the title character in the epic action adventure from director Patty Jenkins. Before she was Wonder Woman, she was Diana, princess of the Amazons, trained to be an unconquerable warrior. Raised on a sheltered island paradise, when an American pilot crashes on their shores and tells of a massive conflict raging in the outside world, Diana leaves her home, convinced she can stop the threat. Fighting alongside man in a war to end all wars, Diana will discover her full powers…and her true destiny.

7 Wonder Woman Villains Perfect For Future Sequels

Now that Wonder Woman is officialy getting a sequel, it’s time to start fantasizing about what we’ll see in the character’s next cinematic solo outing and beyond. Wonder Woman has a rich rogues gallery that has transformed and grown alongside her as she’s become one of the world’s most iconic heroes.

Ares, the Greek god of war, was the main villain for Wonder Woman’s first outing, but DC is gonna need to shake things up for future projects. Diana Prince has already proved herself a terrific warrior in Batman v Superman when she took on Doomsday, so I’m excited to see who the creators want to throw at her next. She doesn’t need a full team beside her — Wonder Woman is warrior enough to defend the innocent from all types of threats.
