With DC eager to build the hype for Justice League as it nears release, another new teaser has dropped online.
The new teaser gives us a quick flavour of the Justice League in action and a world in mourning for Superman. After that, the focus is squarely on our new big bad, Steppenwolf. A vast army of Amazons on horseback ride into battle against the villain’s own forces. There’s a brief glimpse of Steppenwolf himself, silhouetted against a hellish backdrop, as he warns “This world will fall, like all the others”. His threat, however, doesn’t seem to faze Gal Gadot’s Wonder Woman, who tells her foe “You overestimate yourself”. She illustrates her point, striking down one of Steppenwolf’s Parademons right in front of him. We then get another look at the League in action and a reminder of just what makes Batman so powerful.

The film stars Ben Affleck as Bruce Wayne/Batman, Gal Gadot as Diana Prince/Wonder Woman, Jason Momoa as Arthur Curry/Aquaman, Ezra Miller as Barry Allen/The Flash, Ray Fisher as Victor Stone/Cyborg, Henry Cavill as Clark Kent/Superman, Ciaran Hinds as Steppenwolf, Amy Adams as Lois Lane, Amber Heard as Mera, Jeremy Irons as Alfred Pennyworth, J.K. Simmons as Commissioner James Gordon, Diane Lane as Martha Kent, Connie Nielsen as Queen Hippolyta and Willem Dafoe as Nuidis Vulko.
Fueled by his restored faith in humanity and inspired by Superman’s selfless act, Bruce Wayne enlists the help of his newfound ally, Diana Prince, to face an even greater enemy. Together, Batman and Wonder Woman work quickly to find and recruit a team of metahumans to stand against this newly awakened threat. But despite the formation of this unprecedented league of heroes—Batman, Wonder Woman, Aquaman, Cyborg and The Flash—it may already be too late to save the planet from an assault of catastrophic proportions.
Justice League hits theaters Nov. 17.
5 Things We Want To See In ‘Flashpoint’
With DC revealing that the upcoming Flash movie will be titled Flashpoint, fans are wracking their brains trying to figure out what will happen. While the story is famous for rebooting the DC universe before the New 52 initiative, the series is chop full of awesome moments. The book is full of awesome alternate versions of characters and emotional moments that ground the universe-changing story in a deeply personal core narrative. For those who don’t know, Flashpoint follows what happens after Barry Allen travels back in time to save his mother on the night of her murder. When he returns to the present, he finds that everything he’s ever known is different and he’s even lost his powers.
It might not be the perfect story to introduce people to the larger Flash universe, but I trust Geoff Johns. Hopefully now that the plot seems to be a bit more set, a director or directors (I’m looking at you Phil Lord and Chris Miller) will step onto the project soon and help mold it into something awesome. If Warner Bros. chooses to introduce an alternate version of the DC Extended Universe to the bigscreen, there’s no one I’d rather explore it with than Flash. Barry Allen is the heart and soul of the DCU, so it’s only fitting to watch him try and inject some light into a dark version of his home.
