‘Y: The Last Man’ TV Series Being Developed At FX

According to The Hollywood Reporter, the dystopian science fiction comic book Y: Last Man is currently in the process of getting its own TV series at FX. The creator of Y: The Last Man, Brian K. Vaughan, is reportedly involved in the making of the television series alongside Nina Jacobson and Brad Simpson. The story revolves around his pet monkey, Ampersand and Yorick Brown, who is the last human alive with the Y chromosome. This isn’t the first time that Brian K.Vaughan has tired to get Y-The Last Man adapted. Back in 2007, New Line Cinema acquired the rights and D. J. Caruso had been attached  to direct the film. He left, and later, film plans were scrapped when New Line didn’t want to produce more than one film. In 2014, the rights reverted to co-creator Pia Guerra and are now back in the hands of Brian K. Vaughan.
