Zachary Levi’s Shazam Joins DC’s ‘Kingdom Come’ In New Art

Shazam Zach Levi Batman Ben AffleckA new poster puts Zachary Levi’s live action version of Shazam! from the upcoming film into the famous DC Elseworlds comic, Kingdom Come.

New poster art has been shared on Twitter by Messy Pandas of Levi’s Shazam! in a panel from Kingdom Come. Kingdome Come is an Elseworlds story that comes from writer Mark Waid and artist Alex Ross. Shazam has a prominent role in the iconic four issue mini-series. With DC launching a new banner with Todd Philip’s Joker origin movie, perhaps a Kingdom Come adaptation is down the line.

Shazam! stars Zachary Levi, Asher Angel, Grace Fulton, Jack Dylan Grazer, Cooper Andrews, Marta Milans, Faithe Herman, Ian Chen, Jovan Armand and Mark Strong as Doctor Sivana. Here’s the official synopsis:

“We all have a superhero inside us, it just takes a bit of magic to bring it out. In Billy Batson’s (Angel) case, by shouting out one word—SHAZAM!—this streetwise 14-year-old foster kid can turn into the adult Super Hero Shazam (Levi), courtesy of an ancient wizard. Still a kid at heart—inside a ripped, godlike body—Shazam revels in this adult version of himself by doing what any teen would do with superpowers: have fun with them! Can he fly? Does he have X-ray vision? Can he shoot lightning out of his hands? Can he skip his social studies test? Shazam sets out to test the limits of his abilities with the joyful recklessness of a child. But he’ll need to master these powers quickly in order to fight the deadly forces of evil controlled by Dr. Thaddeus Sivana (Strong).”

Shazam! hits theaters on April 5, 2019.

9 Times Joker Fought The Justice League And Won

Previous1 of 10

The Joker Justice League DC ComicsThe Joker is more than just a thorn in Batman’s side. The Clown Prince of Crime has taken on various members of the Justice League and lived to laugh another day. His dastardly plots are dangerous for everyone, and sometime he wants to take on an opponent who doesn’t know him as well as Batman does. Out of the entire superhero community, Batman clearly knows Joker best, so it makes sense that sometimes he wants to stretch his creative muscles and try and take down other heroes.

The character may physically just be a human being, but he still poses a threat to god-like figures like Superman and Wonder Woman. He may hurt his hand if he directly punches the last son of Krypton, but that doesn’t mean he can’t hurt him just as easily as he can anyone else. No matter how confusing he may be, Joker’s an intelligent, ruthless villain who happily picks on anybody he wants.

You guys,… do realise that Shazam/Captain Marvel was kind of an antagonist (or more accurately a Lex Luthor stooge/pawn) in Kingdom Come, right?

It this relentless, shameless over-promotion of this movie on this site ever going to come to an end?

Literally half the stories or articles on the first page are for Shazam with a majority of those being (let’s be honest,….really lame) fan-made posters.

    Give it a break, guys.
    Take a time-out or something.
