It’s been more than four months since Zack Snyder stepped down from working on this November’s DC superhero epic Justice League, but the director continues to tease fans on the mobile-based social platform Vero.
Earlier today, Snyder shared some of his Justice League storyboards on Vero, teasing a scene from the movie that was first glimpsed in last year’s Comic-Con sneak peek. The scene in question features a group of ancient humans burying a motherbox and is likely part of the film’s “History Lesson.”
You can check out the storyboards below.
The motherbox above is one of three scattered across the Earth: one is with the Amazons, one with the Atlanteans and one with humankind. We already know that the film’s main villain, Steppenwolf, is after them, but it remains to be seen what role they’ll play in the DC Extended Universe’s overarching mythology moving forward.
Snyder stepped away from post-production work on Justice League following a tragic family loss. Joss Whedon was later tasked with bringing his vision to completion.
The film stars Ben Affleck, Henry Cavill, Gal Gadot, Ezra Miller, Jason Momoa, Ray Fisher, Amy Adams, Amber Heard, Jeremy Irons, J.K. Simmons, Willem Dafoe, Connie Nielsen, Julian Lewis Jones and Ciarán Hinds. Here’s the official synopsis:
“Fueled by his restored faith in humanity and inspired by Superman’s selfless act, Bruce Wayne enlists the help of his newfound ally, Diana Prince, to face an even greater enemy. Together, Batman and Wonder Woman work quickly to find and recruit a team of metahumans to stand against this newly awakened threat. But despite the formation of this unprecedented league of heroes—Batman, Wonder Woman, Aquaman, Cyborg and The Flash—it may already be too late to save the planet from an assault of catastrophic proportions.”
Justice League opens in theaters on November 17, 2017.
6 Times The Justice League Came Up Short
The Justice League is comprised of the best and brightest heroes the DC Universe has to offer. When you’ve got Wonder Woman, Superman and Batman all on one team, it’s a hard combination to beat. Despite their combined strength, the Justice League has been taken down quite a few times in their long history.
Over the years, the League has faced all kinds of threats, ranging from a grief-stricken Black Adam on a rampage to an invasion of White Martians. Usually the Justice Leauge is able to overcome these threats, but sometimes they don’t have what it takes to stop evil. Of course, these are comic books and things usually shift back towards the light side in time, but that doesn’t mean darkness can’t win, at least temporarily.
Since Justice League finally hits theaters in November, now seems like as good a time as any to talk about a few times the team has fallen short. With that said, hit Next to learn more about six times the Justice League lost!
