Arrow Broken Hearts Diggle

With the 4-way crossover between the CW’s superhero shows a mere 2 weeks away, we’ll be seeing characters from different shows interacting with each other again. Unfortunately for some characters, quite a lot has changed since they last met. This is particularly the case for Arrow’John Diggle. After Barry went back in time to save his mother and created Flashpoint, he decided to go back on his decision and return things to normal. However, not quite everything went back to how they were, and there were some pretty significant changes for characters on The Flash. These ramifications also carried across to shows such as Arrow, where Diggle and his family were the main victims. Instead of having baby daughter Sara, Diggle and Lyla are now parents of a little boy named John Diggle Jr. David Ramsay recently spoke at Heroes and Villains Fan Fest about how Dig will react to discovering how Barry’s actions changed his life.

It’s a great story point, you’ll see Diggle’s reaction to once having a daughter in the big four week crossover. From his perspective, there’s only been John Jr.; Sara never existed for him. He’s not gonna be angry. He’s gonna be much more concerned about Barry’s misuse of his powers.

It will certainly be interesting to seeing Diggle’s reaction to Barry’s interfering with the timeline, especially considering the character’s reactions to superpowers have mainly been used for comedy.

The four-way crossover will kick off at the end of Supergirl‘s eighth episode airing on Monday November 28th, and will continue across The Flash, Arrow and Legends of Tomorrow that week. The synopsis for the crossover episode of The Flash, titled Invasion!, reads as follows:

When aliens called the Dominators attack Central City, Barry speeds over to Star City to ask the Green Arrow for help in stopping them. Realizing the battle against the Dominators is bigger than they thought, they track down the Legends of Tomorrow, and Barry and Cisco create a breach to bring back a secret weapon – Supergirl. Once all of the super friends are assembled, they come up with a plan to attack but a shocking secret related to Flashpoint is revealed and suddenly no one is sure who they can trust. Meanwhile, Wally wants to join the battle against the aliens but Iris tells him he’s not ready.
